Micheal C. G. George

Mr. Michael C.G. George brings over 35 years of experience in political and social organizational leadership, with a strong focus on grassroots mobilization, community development, and public sector program management. His career spans hands-on training in community-level mobilization, where he coordinated more than 4,000 volunteers across 250 effective community welfare leadership teams during Liberia’s civil crisis. Mr. George has served in several key leadership and advisory roles, including as Executive Director of the Rapid Food Production Initiative (RFPI)—a local NGO dedicated to promoting large-scale commercial food production in Liberia—and as Program Manager of the County Development Support Secretariat (CDSS) within the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He authored the original CDF guidelines, created templates and reporting formats, and ensured alignment with the National Budget Law. His responsibilities included overseeing the decentralized execution of CDF-funded projects, supervising Assistant Superintendents for Development and Project Management Teams (PMTs), and reviewing financial and activity reports to ensure transparency and efficiency. Mr. George’s extensive experience reflects a deep commitment to local governance, decentralization, and the empowerment of communities through structured development initiatives.
